I am afraid to say it out loud. I think Michael Valitutti is gone once again from Shop HQ. I ordered some of his product 2 weeks ago, the orders are still processing. I checked for his product on the website, there is virtually nothing now compared 2 hundreds of items 2 weeks ago. I hope I am wrong.
]]>White it was/os Bali or Robert Manse or RoManse jewelry on HSN, there are more than a few items now on QVC that were on HSN 1-4 years ago.
Noteworthy is that some are BRAND NEW listed on QVC, even though they sold on HSN years ago in a broad range of sizes, up 10, 11 or 12 for rings. biut on QVC have VERY LIMITED sizes, like 5-7, 8 only, etc.
SEE: Artisan Crafted Rhodolite on QVC and you may recognize the identical Robert Manse Bali DESIGNS (More than one) from HSN years ago.
I have no evidence other that my memory of items I purchased, I know I bought size 10 on HSN, the exact same item, making it at least APPEAR to be sort of “factory returns” or “leftovers” and maybe brand new, just a new outlet to sell things that otherwise have been in a warehouse for an extended period. If that’s it, must say while deceptive, very clever marketing. Rather than have a clearance sale on HSN, put them on QVC with a markup.
I found one piece on QVC for sale price of $878 and regular price $980, while the exact same item was on HSN for $1990 regular price, sale $1,700.
]]>Everybody knows that HSN and QVC are the same company, right?
Technically speaking, the same company owns them both.

In 1985, the network changed its name to HSN. In 1986, QVC began broadcasting on TV. While QVC and HSN have long competed in the home shopping industry, QVC came out on top in 2018 and bought HSN for $2.1 billion.

]]>Boring home shopping today. Though last night, on QVC, a doll that would scare the 💩 out of just about anyone. It was a blonde pigtailed gymnastic doll. Her eyes were wide, wide, wide open, with an unnatural blue, caffeinated look. That doll has seen some things, lol! Someone took the shape of the occidental eye to the extreme. She’s not as scary as Annabelle, but she’s a good second. $40 worth of nightmares and day terrors.
I bought the salad stuff this morning. Kale, beet greens, romaine, spinach, and radicchio. I’ll peel strips of carrots, thinly sliced red onion, thinly sliced red pepper, blood orange segments, and chopped parsley. The dressing will be made from avocado oil and raspberry infused balsamic vinegar. I’m making cheese swirl rolls. Basically cinnamon roll dough with cheese and savory seasonings rolled up instead of sweet. They’re roasting chickens and Brussels sprouts, and making a rice dish, so the salad will go great. I’ll put it all together tomorrow morning, except for the dressing, which we’ll add individually when we eat.
I’m going to insist that I host Thanksgiving. If they want, I’ll let them reimburse me for the turkey. The rest is on me. That way, my cats are not alone, and there won’t be any humans misbehaving. If they linger too long, I’ll feign a headache and send them packing, lol!
Things are back to normal around here, at least for now. Well, almost. My sister is still in L. A. at her boyfriend’s. She’s been there almost 2 weeks. They’ve been on again, off again for a couple years now. Anyway, I’ve got a stack of mail for her when she gets back.
HSN is mostly electronics today. I might watch Lynn and Jay later, if nothing better is on. With Colleen not hosting now, it seems Lynn gets more of the jewelry shows. She always did mainly jewelry shows, but when Colleen got “big”, most of it went to her. I saw a few minutes of Lynn’s show with Daus the other day; Daus’ jewelry is gaudy crap and she’s an old ho, the way she dresses. It seems the necklines get lower every year. I wonder if Lynn really likes her. She’s so full of herself I imagine all the hosts dread doing her shows.
Anyway, I’m making brunch and having Mary and her 😻 over. 😻😻 will have a play date. We’re having lox and bagels 🥯, lattes ☕, and sliced apples 🍎🍏. Easy and tasty. We worked out and walked yesterday. Back at it again Monday.
Its hard to believe we’re looking at Thanksgiving coming up. So far, the plan is my friend is staying with me, and we’re hosting my sister and possibly her boyfriend. My niece is spending it with her bf’s family. So it will be 4 of us. I need to put a menu together. I don’t really want turkey; we’ll see what I can come up with.

Your experience with the turkeys is the exact reason we started donating cash instead of groceries, lol. Cash is much lighter. But either way, whatever helps is what counts. It sounds like you picked some healthy foods. Some grateful people will be enjoying it.
Kathy Wolf has been a busy bee on HSN recently. Good to see her working. There hasn’t been much to interest me lately. The pre holiday shows, with the exception of clearances, are never that interesting to me.

Alice, thank you for the good wishes. I’m very fortunate to be surrounded by a wonderful family. They are all very precious to me. We also have different colors to put on our tree; so it isn’t the same tree every year. I bought a white one, pre lit from a known company at a super markdown, and we love it.
We just got back from Fry’s; we bought 12 large turkeys and a nice variety of winter squash, apples, carrots and celery, and took it all to the food bank. I hope it helps some families and elderly people have a nourishing Thanksgiving. We normally donate money, but decided we’d rather put our money to direct use. Ironic, because we don’t know yet what we are having for dinner. Anyway, my weight bearing exercises are done for a few days. Those turkeys and vegetables were heavy, lol!!

Jerri,
Happy birthday! Your family is very thoughtful. I went to HQ to look at the panther rings the other day and they’re almost gone. Glad you got yours in time. Your husband sounds like a wonderful guy.
I, too, did some credit card damage with the Skinny Girl sale. Several jog pants and tops, jeans, and I got the knit midi dress in black. It will be nice for dressier functions and still be warm. Friends have small gatherings for the holidays, and I want to dress up a little without freezing. Add some bling and it’s suddenly dressy. It will add to my Winter (dressier) wardrobe.
We will probably take Halloween down on Monday. Not one bit of judgment here, Bertie! We have also enjoyed our decorations, and the lights make it so cozy. We don’t decorate for Christmas till the first week in December. We have an artificial tree that’s nice, and many decorations so we can change up the colors and themes each year. I don’t do many other Christmas decorations around the house, just a few lights and candles. We usually take it down right after New Year’s day. I still have Fall candles out, and gourds and an Autumn wreath. Those get put away when Christmas comes out.
There was some concern about Kathy Wolf’s family recently; she posted pictures with her kids and all 3 dogs on Facebook. She also mentioned having lunch with her mom. Her husband was never featured much, but there has been a noticeable absence for awhile. I hope everything is ok there. When she mentioned losses, it could have been other relatives, she seems to be very close to her sizable family. I hope not, but who knows. I’m hoping she posts a picture of Mr Wolf soon.

Happy birthday, Jerri, belated or early. It sounds like your family loves you very much. Enjoy the gifts, and especially the love. Many happy years ahead to you.
I haven’t been watching home shopping much. I did catch some of the big Skinny Girl sale; I might go back and order a couple things. Generally, the holiday gift shows are meh and very hit or miss. Mostly miss.
I did most of my holiday shopping already, minus a couple stocking stuffers. And I did it locally. Other than the clearance sales, home shopping prices are too high. I went to Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, Kohl’s, and a couple other places. Oh…. and a couple things from Amazon.
My Halloween decorations are still up, too. We’ll take them down over the weekend, I think. And put Christmas up after December first. This year flew by and the highly anticipated Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos flew by in a second. We had a nice weekend, and hope you all did, too.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone. I spent my birthday money well. I think Bethenny’s stuff is fine, like the sweaters, as long as you stick with stuff that has a rating of ⭐⭐⭐⭐+. The prices were great and I actually have $$ left over. I’ll let you know what I think of the Skinny Girl stuff when it gets here.
My kids didn’t know what to get me, so I got $$. The grandsons chipped in on my perfume, it’s a rare and expensive old school scent, and I feel very grateful they were so generous and thoughtful. They must have noticed the bottle on my dressing table was almost empty. I switch scents but this is my special occasion scent. Conversely, I love Ecco Bella scents, 2 of them. Inexpensive and delicious. I have another one I like, and that’s about it.
